This is by far my absolutely favorite door decoration EVER! Since we have been learning about the companions of the Prophet Muhammed sallahu alayhi wa salam, I decided to have the door decoration reflect that. With some browsing of Pinterest :-) again, I came across this super cute idea. With a twist I added the conversation bubble to link it to our topic. For the hero cutout I used a poster board from the Dollar Tree then drew and cut it out. For the conversation bubble I used bulletin board paper and wrote "I want to be like..." and then added names of the companions with a character trait about them. It took me about one hour for the entire door. |

The Kindergarteners were learning the story of Prophet Sulaiman and the story of the ants. After I read the story to the students "The Ants Panic" by S. Khan, we began working on this multistep project. The students loved this project I got the original idea from Pinterest and put a twist on it to go with the story. First the students completed the sentence started and then colored their background. We took brown construction paper and using our shapes we learned in Math class they drew 1 small triangle, 1 large triangle, and an oval. Then the students glued the prices to form their ant and drew the face and legs. After that the students colored and glued the shoe above the ant and there you have it. A fun activity to practice writing, shapes, cutting, and coloring. Have fun! Follow me on Pinterest! Print the writing & shoe here! |
