I created this cute fall bulletin board for the lobby in our elementary building. It was so much fun creating and the kids absolutely loved it! For the tree I crumbled shipping paper I found at the Dollar Tree (1 roll). I also found the fall leaves (50 in a pack, I used 2 packs) and the scarecrow from the Dollar Tree. $3 total!!!! The rest of the board was created using construction paper. I wrote each of the elementary students names on a leaf and each teachers names on the corn. I plan to use the same scene for winter, spring, and summer. Look for those to come.
This year for Eid I decided to play a trick on the kids. They are getting older and it's hard to buy them gifts now. Instead I filled a mason jar with Jelly Belly's (jelly beans) and hid some cash in the center. They were so excited for the candy haha. As they ate the candy, trying to figure out the flavors, they found the money. It was so much fun and a great surprise for them. Eid Mubarak everyone! I love the Hajj season. It's a great time of year to get creative and have loads of fun with your students. This is my favorite bulletin board to create. I use construction paper and card stock to create the different steps of Hajj. I also have students make camels, tress, and homes out of construction paper. For this bulletin board I wrote the lyrics to the Hajj song that the students were learning.
This is a fun spring bulletin board to do. I used brown packaging paper from the Dollar Tree (1 roll) and some tissue paper to make the sun, flowers, and grass. For the flowers you cut 2 sheets of tissue paper in half then fold them together accordion style. Staple the center and begin pulling the tissue paper apart from each. Shape it and then staple it being sure to hide the staples. For the stem roll up 1 sheet of tissue paper and crumbled a small piece for the leaves. The grass is just cut strips of paper. Easy!
A great idea to store all those bulletin boarders is by using a plastic container with a lid. Walmart sales this type of container during every major holiday. It's for cookies but works great for boarders. It's easy to store and find. If you have a ton of them they stack easily too!
